the onion
For this unique and quirky short film, I wanted to create a poster that matched it’s charisma. The typeface was hand-drawn by myself, along with the illustrative features. I wanted it to reflect the chaotic feeling depicted in the opening sequence of the film and used the colour scheme of the set. My illustrations and typeface were also used for the opening titles and closing credits.
reality check
This brilliant short film follows Frank, a man searching for why his relationship is in turmoil, meeting the infamous psychiatrist Dr. Rick. When presented with a pair of glasses Frank continue’s on his own journey. This moment is beautifully lit and clearly had to be the main feature of the poster.
the leak
In ‘The Leak’, Emma invites Ella round for a bowl of soup and drama ensues. This film poster was awarded ‘Best Poster’ at the ‘2023 Night of Comedy Shorts’. Photography, hand lettering and poster design by me.
